Quilt for a special Aunty.

I have a wonderful lady in my life who has worn many hats:) She has been a beautiful Aunt,another Grandmother and now another Mother since I have lost my precious Mum. She has just turned 87 years and is truely remarkable. I so appreciate her love ,support and friendship so I wanted to make her something special. Green and pink is a favourite combination so I embarked on this project. It is made from wool and cotton mix which will keep her extra warm and appliqued with some lovely Quilt gate cottons.Each stitch I prayed she would love it and it was a real blessing to here from her after she had received her parcel. She was thrilled and emotionally moved so it was worth all the work to hear the joy it brought her. She has spent her years giving to others and was a little thankyou for the special part she has played in my families life:)
